About
The Priceo Editorial Team
We write the guides hosts trust to make pricing decisions. That means citing real sources, refreshing data quarterly, and never publishing a number we cannot back up.
Who we are
Priceo’s editorial work is led by the team that builds the pricing engine: founders, engineers, and data scientists who analyze millions of competitor data points across Portugal, Brazil, and Spain. We host on Airbnb ourselves and we run the calendars we write about.
Every guide carries a byline that links here. We don’t farm out our content, and we don’t pretend to be an editorial brand we are not. If a guide says something, the team behind the algorithm is willing to defend it.
How we source
We follow three rules:
- Primary sources first. When Airbnb publishes a number — fee structure, response-rate threshold, Superhost criteria — we link to the help-center page that documents it. Aggregator citations are last resort.
- Three statistics, three links, every guide. Each guide carries at least three data-backed statistics with outbound links to the source. No filler citations.
- Refreshed within 90 days. Article metadata’s
dateModifiednever drifts more than 90 days behind the file’s most recent commit. A lint script enforces this on every PR.
Standards we hold
Every guide must pass a structural acceptance checklist before it merges (definition-first opening, single H1, clean heading hierarchy, FAQPage and Article structured-data blocks, internal-link cluster reinforcement, terminology alignment with our public glossary). The full checklist lives at our pricing pillar.
When we make a mistake we update the guide and bump the modification date. We don’t silently rewrite history.
